Pros

Salary reasonable for entry point in Ireland, opportunities in the UK, staff discount, mileage

Cons

Consumed with shrink & sending spreadsheets, inverted triangle towards stores with task, aspire program in place but no opportunities to progress to store manager as all stores have long term managers in place, lack of clarity & lack of support from Area Managers who are only consumed with saying yes or how high to execs

Pros

Having left about 12 months and the communication has dried up from the fake friends, I dont think there's many pros. Actually, Pay and discount were incredible.

Cons

Halfords is a big boys club with a who you know and how much you can say yes. Unreasonable and unachievable targets seem to be the backbone of the business, nothing is ever easy and upper management can't give a simple Yes or No. Regularly worked 60+ hour weeks due to staff issues, staying back at Christmas time to build bikes because staff simply don't care and are just there for the pay cheque.
