      Micromanagement hell

      Pros

      New company, decent pay, remote and location-flexible work.

      Cons

      The C-suite lets middle managers run wild with intense micromanagement and verbal abuse. At least one "manager" is manager in name only. A "manager" in job title may actually be the subject of so much micromanagement from their department head that they don't actually get to manage anything. A pathetic joke. Your creativity and passion will be killed. Look for a start-up which will actually respect you. I'm definitely looking for another job after months of hell.

      Pros

      The company offers a lot of freedom, which makes it a good place to learn and grow, especially through trial and error. The team culture is friendly and fun, and there’s a strong sense of camaraderie.

      Cons

      On the downside, there’s a noticeable gap in hard skills and consistent execution. Greater accountability and a stronger results-oriented mindset would be beneficial. At times, internal favoritism and micro-politics can affect team dynamics. The pressure from investors is evident, and the company doesn’t yet feel fully prepared to scale to the next level.

      Cool people, lack of leadership

      Pros

      - A vibrant, cool environment. - Opportunity to work with great people. - Being part of something that's getting bigger and bigger.

      Cons

      Even though this is a good place to work, lack of leadership leads to lack of direction and strategy. This leads to lack of engagement and vision.
