Pros

There are a couple of people that actually care about producing a reasonable work environment.

Cons

Off shore dev out of Russia with 2 month turnaround times. No policies or procedures in place, crabs in a barrel staff mentality, you will lone wolf around 10 projects simultaneously. I never saw a deadline met for a single project. Dev is not required to check work before pushing to production environments. Every customer is damaged goods, no career progression/growth or transferable skills. Not a consultant role but more of an installer of ½ baked solutions. Find out if you will be joining the former AK Solutions side or former SA Global side. If you hear the words “AEC360” or will be joining the former SA Global side run. A “Professional Services” firm selling Dynamics solutions that does not use what they sell, let that sink in. This is the consulting firm that you current customer tells you horror stories about working with.

Friendly colleagues - the vast majority of them.

The UK branch of HSO is a disaster. All the noise out there about it being one of the best places to work for is just a smoked mirror. Once inside, you’ll find a totally different environment. The company is extremely immature, with poor business processes, and a delivery methodology which is nowhere suitable to deliver projects. Most disturbing, is the attitude of certain Senior Managers (certainly not leaders) who do not seem to like anyone who raises concerns about their very inefficient working processes, or focus on customer service. Instead of listening - as a good leaders do, they adopt the practice of removing the “problem". All intelligent, ambitious individuals would be better off finding another partner to work for.
