Pros

(1) They have a few technical sound employees. (2) No strict dress code.

Cons

(1) You can be fired any day. They fired so many people because of COVID-19. (2) Senior managers care about their own bonus. They fire engineers when the project ends. (3) Office culture is pretty bad. (4) They lie to employees so much. No transparency. (5) As a senior engineer who has worked in multiple different firms for almost a decade, I never came across company as callous as Grid Dynamics. No one with an iota of self respect will enjoy working here.

Pros

Most employees are great to work with. Decision making is fast. Health benefits are good.

Cons

Leadership belittling people on team calls in front of large groups, does not value ideas/input unless maybe you are on the leadership team. Unless you are Russian/Eastern Europe heritage and have software engineering background, are noticeably treated with less respect especially from the CEO. Leadership goes out of their way to unnecessary micromanage, which reduces productivity. Back stabbing environment, people are quick to take credit for successes whether or not they were involved or had a meaningful impact. Little work/life balance not good. Horrible 401k plan, zero matching.

Pros

Easy interview. Mac Book Pro laptop.

Cons

Beware: they promise you that they have a lot of work but if client cancels you on the project they will not keep you on payroll but fire you immediately with a minimal severance. Benefits are below average - you basically work for cash and health insurance. Company does not have it's own product but completely depends on whims of their clients.

Grid Dynamics Response

Thank you for sharing your feedback! Great to know you liked your laptop. The interview procedure at Grid Dynamics is standard for all employees. If you’ve found it easy, it has ideally matched your experience and qualifications. A lot of effort goes into recruiting and onboarding our new hires but at times, we make mistakes. When our engineers are dismissed by our customers and we know they have the integrity and values that align with our corporate culture, we make efforts to find them a new site and put their skills to use.
