Pros

The Gradle brand is famous in the world of software engineering and carries a great reputation and prestige. The product is amazing and the value it brings is incredible. It's a pleasure to genuinely help customers make massive improvements and it's very rewarding to know Gradle Enterprise powers a lot of the biggest global companies. The leadership are very open and transparent on the company, its finances, future plans and generally all the high-level stuff. The atmosphere in the company is very good considering it's fully remote. Positive shout-outs and recognitions are a daily occurrence. As a growing company, there are unlimited opportunities to grow personally and develop your career. Good performance is rewarded accordingly and high performers can thrive. The sales org management is very inclusive, flexible and supportive. There is no micromanagement, creativity is hugely encouraged and big wins are always broadcast for wider recognition.

Cons

Remote work is a double-edged sword. Personally, I love it but some may struggle with the lack of face-to-face time and timezone differences. Despite this, there is a tight-knit feel. As a quickly growing startup, things change quickly in terms of processes and structures. Not really a con as such, just a reality of life.

NOT a Good Place for Modern Marketers

Pros

Team members are very capable and strong.

Cons

Gradle is a great place to thrive if you are an engineer. Unfortunately, if you're on the marketing side, the toxic marketing leadership that gatekeeps ideas proved to be suffocating. A culture of micromanagement and bottlenecking prevents the marketing team from implementing innovative strategies or, at the very least, the best modern content marketing practices. The company is stuck in outdated marketing practices and refuses to adapt. The worst part is that team members are not empowered to bring ideas to the table for fear of retribution, and there is little to no direct access to higher-ups. Unless there is a significant shift in the company culture, I cannot recommend Gradle as a good workplace for marketing professionals. Finally, they discuss maintaining and expecting "high standards" in content development. That, of course, is highly subjective. Your words may not be edited correctly, with a bias toward excessive wordiness under the guise of "quality."
