Pros

- fair salary - nice colleagues, although almost everyone ended up losing motivation due to no meritocracy and opaque practices

Cons

Gofundme used to be a fairly meritocratic workplace with a great culture (even if with huge workloads). Unfortunately this is long over. There’s absolutely zero transparency on anything from promotions, salary discrepancies between the same position, to hiring decisions. It all boils down to being personal friends with upper management. This is a shared feeling within the whole RCPI and has completely killed any motivation, as extremely limited chances for advancement or lateral moves are left. Dublin is clearly seen as a satellite office. The communication and transparency with US is often lacking, leaving the Dub side pretty much out of the most interesting projects or developments (often they don’t even know these are going on until they’re announced). The benefits/perks keep being reduced and some have been limited to the point of seeming almost pointless. There’s been zero job security for a couple years now, with people in constant fear of being laid off. The company keeps running lean, with very understaffed departments which are expected to manage huge workloads with unrealistic expectations. So you’ll probably end up burnout, but even without career advancement. Sounds great, right?

Pros

Good benefits and salary. Snacks for free and good equipment and tools provided by the company.

Cons

Mobbing at the office, disrespectful and passive-aggressive attitudes in the Dublin office. Terrible competence among employees encouraged by the management. At this workplace I had colleagues complaining about how loud I used to breath or type on my keyboard. Continuous threats from managers on being fired for performance. It's not nice to be fired when you are suffering a diagnosed depression but despite all of that you decide not to take a sick leave not to affect the company :) Still recovering nowadays from the time I spent in this company.

Pros

This is a really exciting time to join the GoFundMe office in Dublin as we grow the companies EMEA HQ here. While the primary focus in this role is on helping customers via email, there are lots of ways to get involved with what you're interested in and growing the Dublin team. There's lots of flexibility, and most of all, room to grow and progress in this office! Besides that, we're a super fun office, with young and bubbly colleagues. We go on team outings all the time, and there's always somehing happening. Overall the company's values and aspirations are unqique and you really feel like you're part of something meaningful. The company goals are very transparent, and it feels like everyone is working towards the same common goal. The benefits are emmense, and we're truly spoilt. Health, Dental, Pension, Wellness, Massages, Lunch, Snacks, Team Outings, Work Events, Training in San Diego, Paid Sick Leave, Swag....anything you could wish for really.

Cons

Weekend, and some evening work, depending on the shifts you're scheduled for. But the shift rotation happens fairly, and you get plenty of notice for your work schedule (1-1.5 months in advance).
