Pros

None that I can think of

Cons

Management is a joke. They allow employees to harrass other employees by making up rumors about them and spreading them throughout the entire building. They can trash talk you in front of charge nurses and management, too, with no one saying a word. This happened when one particularly petty individual didn't get the hall she wanted and it was given to me instead because I had seniority, which then started everyone talking about me behind my back. The nurses are unresponsive when told that something appears to be wrong with a resident. They'll say something to the effect of "Oh, they're always like that" or "well their vitals are stable" and when the resident is finally sick enough for the nurse, who sees them on the med pass and that's it, to notice and they get sent to the hospital, the resident is septic because no one would listen when you told every charge nurse for the last 4 days that something was wrong with the resident. And when one of your residents who is usually alert and oriented starts acting confused and isnt making sense, you literally have to threaten to walk out if they don't send the resident to the hospital, and when they do finally send him out, he's had a mini stroke. And the way some of the aides and nurses would talk to the residents was appalling. You dont shame a resident for accidentally using the bathroom on themselves. You dont walk into a room and say "Dang, (insert residents name here) you already soiled your diaper again?" (But use the curse word for feces) "I'm not gonna keep rolling your big bottom (but the used the a word instead) over all day. These comments were reported to upper management and promptly ignored. Also, you're probably going to work shorthanded because folks dont like coming to work and no one is disciplined for calling in two days out of every week. An aide can be off their hall for literally half the shift (4 hours, or more) while you're taking care of their assigned residents and yours too and you're the one in the wrong for reporting it. And because the previously mentioned petty individual dislikes you so much, on 3 different days she completely ignores the assigned residents she has on your hall for an ENTIRE shift. This was reported with dates and times to management so it could be confirmed that she didn't check on them at all the entire shift, and again, nothing was done. They had just got bought by another company when I left so hopefully they'll make some much needed changes, but they left all of the management in place so I don't see anything changing in the near future. If this sounds like somewhere you want to work, have at it.

Pros

I worked rehab… it was great patient ratio except they added a small hall of long term residents who had money for private rooms and were ones who took up way to much time, We had paper charts to hand write in, low-pay, I followed an LPN who acted better than me and criticised everything I did… normal for them apparently, but she was not my supervisor, she was same as me..

Cons

Previous review and lower pay scale than other facilities in area…
