I was assigned the ‘support staff’ role instead of being permanently placed at one venue like some of their staff are, after misinterpreting an email, which gave me the option to interview over video or in person.
Because I had the option, I chose the video call, as I was working late the day of the interview at my previous job.
I was told management was disappointed in this choice, which is why I was given the support role (which I felt was a little harsh / unfair)
