Toxic Culture, No Support, and Constant Uncertainty

Pros

Good benefits, free snacks and breakfast

Cons

There’s no real training, just a bunch of resources with no hands-on support, the VP of Sales is always “too busy” to actually help, the CEO is condescending and makes people feel incompetent, there’s a constant fear of being fired since they let people go left and right, they take leads away for not following rules that were never properly communicated, they change policies without documenting them but still hold you accountable, every team meeting is just management tearing people down instead of helping them improve, and the overall toxic culture took a serious toll on my mental health, so I’d strongly recommend doing your research before accepting an offer.

Manipulative and Toxic

Pros

The product is ok, and they are good developers

Cons

Leadership is toxic. The CEO only surrounds himself with people who agree with him, and anyone who challenges that is belittled or shut out. The company pushes core values not to guide the culture, but to blame employees and shield management from accountability. There is no real training. You’re expected to self-teach with outdated materials, and when you ask questions, you’re made to feel incompetent. Management claims to support a “training period,” but in reality, they barely engage. You’re set up to fail, then blamed for not figuring it out fast enough. There’s no community, no integrity, and no real investment in employees. New departments are led by VPs with no experience, who expect brand-new hires to somehow already know how to do a job that’s never existed. When people ask for clarity or support, they’re met with ridicule. One example stands out and mentioned by others: an employee who is still at the company, is consistently helpful, knowledgeable, and respected by peers is regularly berated by leadership—including in front of the whole company. Instead of developing his leadership skills and investing in someone who genuinely wants the company to succeed, they tear him down over one small mistake and use the footage in training videos for all new hires. That says everything you need to know.

Pros

- The product is extremely reliable and well-built. It’s refreshing to work with software that just works. On the rare occasion an issue comes up, the engineering team responds quickly and genuinely cares about getting it fixed. That level of quality and responsiveness makes selling a lot smoother. - Career advancement is very achievable here. I’ve seen people move up quickly across multiple departments. - The company has provided me solid opportunities to learn new things.

Cons

- There is a vision of how tasks should be handled and if you deviate from that vision, you will hear about it very loudly and often from multiple people. - The organization needs more layers of internal support and training given the high expectations. High performers tend to get attention, help and resources they need but others struggle without enough guidance to develop and succeed.

Pros

Some team members were incredibly supportive despite impossible conditions. Product is really well built!

Cons

This organization operates with minimal structure, rigid micromanagement, and a pattern of retaliation. Onboarding was nonexistent, no meetings, no calls, no guidance. While others received training and support, I was met with silence after repeatedly asking for help. Performance was dismal across the board, no one hit quota during my five month tenure. Leadership lacks experience relevant to enterprise sales, and coaching is replaced by punitive feedback loops. Attempting to raise concerns, even anonymously, can lead to being sidelined or let go. After relocating based on misleading assurances, I was abruptly terminated and offered minimal severance. When I escalated my concerns respectfully, I was ignored entirely. Recent reviews present a polished image, but they contrast sharply with what many internally experienced. If you're considering this company, look closely and proceed with caution.

Pros

The experience here will look good on your resume in the future. Some roles are compensated very well.

Cons

Chaotic culture, poor job stability, inadequate training. The reviews with one or two stars are the most reflective of my time at Files.com. I was personally encouraged to write a positive GlassDoor review by my manager while I was there. They did not offer to compensate me for it. They simply kept checking in with me to make sure I had done it. My manager was actually a really good guy. I do not think he was the one driving this exercise. From my perspective, I believe he was being pushed to do this.

Toxic culture and public criticism create instability

Pros

Work from home. Pay is decent.

Cons

Pretty much everything else. Seriously - read the reviews. They’re not exaggerated. If you’re a self-starter who learns by doing (and yes, making mistakes along the way), this is not an environment where you’ll succeed. Mistakes aren’t treated as part of growth - they’re met with public criticism. The CEO fosters a culture rooted in fear and ridicule under the guise of “coaching.” If you make a mistake, expect to be called out - and publicly. There’s little to no structured training, expectations are vague, and the overall environment feels disorganized and high-pressure in the worst way. Teams operate in a constant state of anxiety, second-guessing even basic questions. Communication is also tightly controlled. DMing colleagues is not allowed; All conversations happen in public channels where responses are highly scrutinized. Teams are often warned to be extremely careful about what they say, as even simple questions can lead to public criticism by the CEO if they’re perceived the wrong way. If you’re considering working here, take the negative reviews seriously - they reflect a consistent experience, not isolated incidents. The culture is deeply toxic and unsupportive. I’ve never felt more unstable in a job.
