Pros

None. The original FixxIT was by no means an ideal (or even good) option for immigrants, but at least used to be viable for South African developers seeking employment in the Netherlands. Since becoming Entelect Netherlands the firm quickly devolved into a body-shop. More details below.

Cons

Static salary brackets based on the exact minimum legal salary for knowledge migrants in the Netherlands. Day one of your job happens to also be your financial ceiling (apart from the 30% tax ruling) regardless of any future performance. Firm bent on forcing the insanity of South African corporate culture onto individuals who specifically emigrated AWAY from said culture. Belittling of employees, who wish to discuss issues within the company, with childish name-calling and insults - both verbal and in internal emails. HR-related services only available two days of the week. Hard luck if you need anything urgently.

Pros

Great people Great social initiatives Some non-monetary perks (petrol card, etc)

Cons

- No overtime - Your increases are based more on the company's performance as well as where you are in comparison to your peers (years of experience) than your actual performance. This holds over achievers (people who push the boundaries) back from achieving their full potential in terms of monetary rewards. - Promotions are also handed out selectively and you should have been doing the job of your next tier for a minimum of a year before you're even considered for the role bump. - New hires for the same position will earn more than someone who's been with the company for longer. - Refuse to negotiate salary in good faith based on loyalty without requiring an offer from somewhere else to be on the table.

Pros

Entelect is a great company. It is an especially amazing company to start at if you are a graduate. I started in the Grad programme and received huge amounts of help, support and growth. From my view (only having worked at Entelect) they pay well.

Cons

Recently there was a massive issue with 2020 Graduates that joined the company, the "grads" anonymously submitted their salaries, to see how each other are being compensated. While I dont think that they did the best thing, threatening disciplinary hearings and dismissals is not the right way to handle the incident in my opinion. This really disappointed me, I expected management to enforce our company culture better "Fellowship sets us apart". Now here we are, taking sides on whether or not Entelect is trying to keep their costs low by keeping salary processes quiet, while employees go above and beyond their work to keep Entelect's clients happy.

Hi there. It is unfortunate that this matter has spilt over to other individuals who weren’t involved in all the communications. As with any scenario related to sensitive information (such as salaries), context is important. Our salary process has always been transparent, from the videos on how it works to the open invite to our people to speak to the People team for the specific context. We take transparency seriously, as you would have seen from all our posts, state of the company addresses and AMA’s throughout the past year because it is a core part of fellowship. What shouldn’t be transparent though, is openly discussing other people’s salaries. This is a principle that we will uphold. All the individuals that were involved in sharing salary information were called into a session and explained the implications of their actions. As grads, we understand that the gravity of sharing salaries might not be understood, which is why there was a session dedicated to explaining this to all individuals involved. I want to openly invite you to reach out to me or anyone in the People team directly and we would be happy to explain the context, the understanding and the actions that were taken. In light of this message though, I plan to host another salary process AMA session with the company in the coming weeks as a refresher into how we do this. I will make sure it is done before our next bi-annual performance and salary review. - TR
