Pros

There is nothing good about ubreakifix.

Cons

They don't provide computers to work on. Stores are often micromanaged to death. You will likely receive very little or no training on how to actually do repairs. Any training on repairs will only be cell phones which is only a fraction of the devices you are expected to fix. Don't be fooled, this is a sales job first and foremost. Most training will be about selling their terrible Home+ protection plan. There is constant turnover. I have had 8 lead techs and 5 store managers in 4 years. Upper management tends to rule with fear, threatening a person's job for the smallest of mistakes is common place.

Pros

- Fast Paced, plenty to keep even the busiest hands occupied. - Room to learn an industry that will survive for as long as technology exists. - Some experience can translate well in other fields. - Good opportunity to earn commission through sales if requirements are met.

Cons

- If you are ONLY interested in a tech/tech repair focused position, this is not the job for you. Unless you have a decade of experience you will be expected to make sales, bargain for reviews, and go above and beyond at all times to increase store sales. - MASSIVE barriers to earn commissions. - No PTO - No sick days - No upward movement except for extrordinary circumstances. - Falls short of other employers in terms of compensation. - No raises whatsoever once you finish training. - Shady grey-area business practices, straddling the line of breach of contract with partnerships at some points. - You will be asked to lie, mislead, cheat, and manipulate not only customers, but the very partners that keep your stores in business. The partners of uBreakiFix (mainly Asurion) have to constantly update the terms and rules of their partnerships because you are expected to take complete advantage of every single customer that walks in your doors. If you have any sort of moral compass whatsoever, look somewhere else. The best way to survive at uBreakiFix is to KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN. They don't require experience, but expect to be thrown to the wolves as soon as your 90-days are up. Hit the ground running, keep your head down, and make sure your hands are clean at the end of the day.
