Dear former colleague,
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are happy that during your time at think-cell you could experience several advantages to working with us such as brilliant colleagues, our office location, flexible working hours, no deadlines, a good salary and emphasis on code quality.
On the other hand, we are sorry that this has ended being a negative experience for you. We find important to clarify that in Germany, the six-months-trial-period is a time for both the employer and the employee to evaluate each other, see if there is a fit in the working culture, and make a decision afterwards. We consider that only after the first three months one really starts to contribute to the company in a more complete way beyond having learned the basics.
Furthermore, we take the decision to continue or terminate the employment of a person very seriously and support the candidates that request it with relocation, as you may have experienced.
We know that think-cell is not an easy company to get into. At the same time, those who make it through the first year stay with us for a long time. Over the last 14 years, only one developer chose to leave after a few years with us; everyone else is still working here. Those who stay with us get to work in a team of exclusively excellent developers, undoubtedly the best in their field.
Besides, we work towards having a pleasant environment to work every day and we believe we are all part of making it happen. Though we don’t aim to make it common, heated conversations are also a part of work life and we think that discussions also allow to elevate the quality of our work and learn.
