Thank you for sharing your feedback about your time at think-cell. We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your time with us. But we agree with you in one aspect:
think-cell is not an easy company to get into. At the same time, those who make it through the first year stay with us for a long time. Over the last 14 years, only one developer chose to leave after a few years with us; everyone else is still working here. Those who stay with us get to work in a team of exclusively excellent developers, undoubtedly the best in their field.
We have a lot to offer in terms of financial benefits (e.g. a raise to 120,000 EUR annually after one year), our generous relocation package, and freedom to work without deadlines. But at the same time our developers face algorithmic challenges that most would be unable to master, and we work with a high level of personal responsibility.
The decision to let go of an employee during his or her probationary period is never an easy one to make, and nor should it be. At think-cell, this decision is not one to be taken by a single individual, however senior they may be, but is made by our developer team, based on their experience working with the new hire.
We wish you all the best for your career.
