Pros
- AMAZING retirement opportunities; ESOP, company match, etc. In the end, you have a lot of money being invested into your 401K. - Flex Holiday schedule - Trusted to make up time if appointments were during work hours
Cons
- Working in the corporate office you are spread out very thin. Just in the Technical Recruiter role I was also the Office Manager, Event Coordinator, and Executive Assistant to the CEO. This role also included unofficial Marketing posts without clear guidelines of expectations. - There is only one person in HR. For a company with between 200-400 this means there is no safeguarding or accountability if the person you have a problem with is HR. - No training. As a beginner recruiter, I had to teach myself everything I needed to know with limited resources. - Company goes for quantity over quality for contracts. - Most PM's do not communicate well and create high expectations for the recruiter. It is difficult to meet a goal when the PM does not respond to emails in over a week.
