Pros

The only "pro" is that you will learn exactly how NOT to run a medical business. You will build resilience because you have to survive being yelled at daily.

Cons

1. Bait-and-Switch Job Description: You will be hired for a medical dispatch or admin role, but do not be fooled. The CEO views you as her personal servant. I am a Registered Nurse with 9+ years of experience, yet I was forced to ignore patient needs during busy hours to book the CEO’s nail salon appointments, research her family vacation spots, and make restaurant reservations. If you refuse these personal errands to focus on actual work, you are accused of "doing nothing." 2. Abusive Management & Narcissism: The owner/CEO is emotionally unstable and abusive. She does not "manage"—she yells. She berates employees, then gaslights them by saying "no one is attacking you" immediately after verbally attacking you. She talks trash about her own staff, calling employees "stupid" behind their backs. It is a toxic, high-school drama environment created by the leadership. 3. Zero Boundaries: Your personal time means nothing. They have high turnover (people go AWOL constantly because of the abuse), and the CEO demands—does not ask—that you change your schedule instantly to cover it. If you have a life outside of work, you are treated as the enemy. 4. Exploitative Pay: They want experienced healthcare professionals but pay scraps (as low as $6/hr). They expect executive-level dedication for less than minimum wage. 5. Retaliation: If you try to resign professionally, expect retaliation. They will leave fake reviews on your freelance profiles or badmouth you to others.

Pros

Literally just the company-sponsored workouts (that hourly workers have to clock out for)

Cons

Management is rude, entitled, and they have no self awareness. PTO is almost non-existent, we got almost no holidays and the executive team had no sense of boundaries or professionalism. The executive team is comprised of 3 sisters who don't communicate with each other, bicker, compete, lie, and pit employees in between sisters. This is by far the most unprofessional environment I've ever seen but when employees complain, the sisters say "this is the cost of working at a startup." no it is not. I've worked at startups before. Just because you're a new company does not give you the right to ignore basic human rights (AND LABOR LAWS!!) 1 bathroom for 20 people. Always a line. 5 sick/vacation days PER YEAR. Toxic and distrustful af work environment. Middle management has to actively tell the executive team to not make employees cry like the toxic, insecure 12 year old bullies they are.
