The new ownership is starting to turn things around. They are gaining more knowledge of the business and are making investments in the business and the people that were long overdue. Most of the people with negative attitudes and those that are not committed have left and the team in place is working hard and starting to work more as a team. There is now opportunity to show what you can do and be recognized.

It will take time to get out of the hole that was dug by the previous two owners ( so there is still a lack of good processes, most of the systems are in dire need of upgrading (it is being addressed). The engineering leadership is a bit green when it comes to the core business but that is to be expected so I cannot find too much fault. Roles and responsibilities are still not always clearly defined or management is misinformed regarding who does or should do what. It does take time for new ownership to understand what they own, what is working and what is not, who is an asset and who is not so it is possible to get frustrated at times when you may notice a problem but you are unable to convince management because they are still learning some of the ins and outs.
