Pros

- they usually attract a talented bunch so your coworkers are pretty cool - some free yoga class (they did away with unlimited)

Cons

I worked at my local store for about six months. When I first began it seemed like a cool enough place to work part-time while i work on my degree. Fast Forward to 3 months later.... terrible soul sucking place. If you are thinking of working here ... consider the following beforehand. 1. If you don't do well with brainwashing or cult behavior you will not do well here. At first everything seems great because they want to suck you into their cult but then when they realize you don't want to join they slowly start pushing you out. . . you are no longer one of the cool kids and won't be given hours. 2. Management leaves a lot to be desired. How are you going to put a bunch of 20-somethings in charge of dozens of people. Managing is an art, a skill that is learned over time... no straight out of college. 3. This company is NOT GREEN. Do not be fooled. They ship every single piece of clothing in plastic bags. These bags are not recyclable in all areas and so they end up in the landfill. 4. Expectations aren't really clear. You aren't given measurable metrics to assess performance. You could very well walk into work one day and get counseled because your attitude hasn't been right lately. That is a pretty arbitrary description of poor job performance 5. the company is hypocrisy at its worst. They tout living a healthy lifestyle but they don't give their employees medical benefits. The only people that get medical benefits are the ones working 30 hours or more a week which is impossible to do if your store is staffed with 25 people all working 3 or 4 hours shifts. I am all for creating community around yoga and other fitness. I also think that at some point the core values were important. However they have grown to big and now the dollar is more important. There really isn't any truth to the whole idea of elevating the world unless you consider selling really expensive clothing to people elevating the world.

Pros

The benefits with the sweaty Pursuits is good and the insurance is good too! You get a team that you get to put together and get to know them and see what works for you guys to be successful in a processing shift!

Cons

The nights are long and very overworked. They ask a lot from you and usually they put the business before you. It’s always we need this and that from the managers but not actually taking time to help or to actually see that we are trying our best and if they actually worked a shift with us and saw the struggles they would understand more. They think it’s easy, when the weight of the store depends on us. You are also qualified as a Guest Experience lead since you have to do both trainings so the management do over utilise that and you will be doing two jobs. Even though it says in the description to support the floor but there’s a difference between supporting from time to time and doing it all the time where you are running the floor and the back at the same time but they’ll say “oh why isn’t this done?” Maybe because you’ve told me to help you out ? The are also very selective about who moves up to be a manager. No work life balance at all!
