Cons
there are many. do a quick google search and you'll pull up some eye-opening articles on what it's like to work here above an educator level. they are all true. regional managers and higher say they hear the feedback about things like getting benefits (no sick time, no support with family leave or childcare, no 401k, pay is a joke) but nothing is ever done. it's a well known joke within stores that if you want to become upper management you better become a stepford wife and have a rich husband, cause you sure can't support yourself from what you're paid, and no one wants you to be real about internal problems. if you're looking for a legit career where you'll be valued, paid what you're worth, work where intelligence and business savvy is valued over cult loyalty and working off the clock all with a smile a valley girl accent, look elsewhere. also if you're not a white straight affluent twenty something, definitely look elsewhere, because you'll absolutely never move up. nothing gets rolled out correctly, work life balance is a myth, and the "culture" is mostly intimidation, veiled threats, and the company's own language which they use to break people down mentally.
