Pros

- could pick up extra shifts at different locations - paid slightly above minimum wage - some training was good and managers ensured training was updated regularly.

Cons

- constantly short staffed - especially during covid-19 - sometimes would be underpaid and you have to fight for the pay to be corrected - food provided not always the most healthy (basic sandwich most meals for the residents & staff) . If they didn't have enough meal monies, then staff were not told in advance to bring their own meals and we would go hungry in the 14 hour shifts...

Pros

Birthday leave Rewarding work supporting people to improve quality of life Dedicated and hardworking frontline teams Opportunity to gain varied experience

Cons

Job security feels uncertain during ongoing restructures High turnover at management and senior leadership level Six line managers in three years impacting stability Team moved departments twice with little sense of long term direction Frequent structural changes creating constant uncertainty Communication often inconsistent and dependent on individual managers Strong managers leave and retention appears limited Recognition initiatives have noticeably reduced Some training sessions feel tick box rather than meaningful Role expectations can feel unclear due to poor alignment between departments Feedback can feel poorly received or defensively handled Morale impacted by lack of consistent leadership
