Thank you for your feedback. I hope that you will reach out to anyone who you feel comfortable confiding in at our company to address your concerns.
Regarding your comments, I regret to know that you are disappointed about opportunities to move up within the organization. We understand that opportunities for growth are very important to everyone and we try to encourage staff to express their interest in moving up and continuing to grow with us. We actually prefer to promote from within, and as you probably are already aware, 80% of our management positions are held by people who started at an entry level position within the company. In the past six months, two employees received a promotion. As we are a small company, changes of positions and promotions are based on merit as well as the needs of the organization.
As far as employee compensation, we periodically evaluate our benefits and compensation package against nationwide averages, those offered within the travel industry, and many found here on Glassdoor, and we’ve found that we exceed those standards for other comparable companies in the travel industry and found on Glassdoor. Additionally, our staff recently started working remotely, which allows maximum employee flexibility, improves work-life balance, and saves on commuting time and expenses.
With regard to your comment regarding the health of insightCuba, while we are always looking to be a better company for our guests and our employees, it's worth mentioning here that we just came off our two most successful years out of the past 17, created and launched a new travel brand with 15 new products, won the World’s Top Cuba Travel Specialist Award from Condé Nast Traveler magazine for the second year in a row, and recently hired two great staff members.
