Pros

- Donuts every other Thursday. - Soda machine. - Bagels once a month.

Cons

- Very unprofessional Management. It is a pretty small company so anything and everything is micro managed. I have never worked for a company that is so bad with the micro management. - Doesn't get the proper training needed when moving departments from Tech Support to the Account Management position. You just get thrown right into it with no experience. - It doesn't matter if you are sick, it's a blizzard outside, something emergent, or you just need a day off. You should be here. iWorQ does not take calling into work very well, and they do not care about your wellbeing. If you are stuck on the side of the road in the middle of a blizzard, they will just be upset that you aren't here to do your job even though we are more than capable of working from home. If you need to leave work and hour or two early, you will be expected to use your PTO. (Even though we can easily make our time up if it is needed.) We also should not be forced to use our PTO? We could do our jobs entirely from home but the CEO believes that if they don't see you working, you aren't working. - Employees get accused of "lying" when calling in. - CEO needs to get with the times. People in these positions get paid quite a bit more than we do here. So many companies let you work remotely. WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL? - There is no HR rep at iWorQ. Employees will always go unheard. - CEO has an "Open door policy" but that does nothing when everyone is terrified to talk to the CEO. Plus it doesn't matter if you have a good idea or not, you will not be heard. It is his way or the highway. iWorQ does not like change, and refuses to get with the times. - The only department that iWorQ cares for is the sales department. Sales gets treated great, makes tons of money, and even gets rewards like Delta airline gift cards etc. But if you are not in the sales department, you don't matter. - "Advice" from management can seem uninformed or petty at times as there is a religious undertone that often seeps into employee approval/disapproval. - KPI's are completely pointless, it's just another way for the company to take money away from the employee. Most the KPI's that are within this department are out of our control. - If things don't change, people are not going to stick around for a free donut or some free soda. No one cares about that, we want to get treated like human beings. - Does not pull the correct amount of money out of the bonus's for taxes. So you end up having to pay a ton of money at the end of the year each year. Even if you file correctly, the bonus checks will mess with your taxes each year because CEO pulls anywhere from 0%-8% instead of pulling the 22% from a bonus. - Multiple employees have gone to the CEO with the "open door policy" to voice concerns that happen on a regular basis. Concerns get shut down immediately, and the employee gets threatened with termination.

Pros

* Some managers are very personable * Mostly everyone else is great to work with * iWorQ values its employees in how generous they are with pay and opportunities for bonuses, that's something significant they have going for them * There are free office snacks and drinks which helps keep one going throughout the day, especially with mentally rigorous jobs * I believe that the owner really tries to give back to those who try their best

Cons

* Some managers are very NOT personable, and their influence is greater than others there, so their impersonable-ness is felt a lot more than everyone else's personable-ness. It starts out subtle, but over time keeps piling up and up and is something that is felt almost all the time.
