Pros

-Free Coffee & Ramen -Free Company events; Cake, Pizza, Movies, BBQs -Laid Back Atmosphere -Flexible schedule (unpaid time-off), great for students & parents with children -Casual environment -Health benefits & 401k -Friendly employees -Close to bus routes & soon lightrail -Diversity of projects & clients -Learning opportunities on down-time

Cons

-Heat/Cooling problems in the building. -Constant moving of work spaces. -Experience & being a permanent employee does not equate to job security -Inconsistency in work ethic and practices. -Inconsistency in pay for the same job title. -Newer employees are often promoted faster than older & more experienced employees, leaving long term loyal employees always waiting for advancement. -Absent non-proactive management: Many lazy employees promoted or moved to advancement due to exposure to a project after their superior quits rather than the employee's experience or work ethic. -Training practices have become non-existent. -Lack of HR intervention: sexist environment, male employees are open to have vulgar, perverse & inappropriate discussions on a daily basis. It is not uncommon for many long term female employees to not be promoted to lead positions over newer male employees. -Nepotism, manager's spouse quickly promoted to management over experienced candidates, relatives of company are quickly promoted to high positions.

Pros

This is an amazing company to work for. You have your voice heard, and you don't have the stuffy corporate feel. The ability to move up in the company is huge, and the environment is amazing. The people that work for iBeta are amazing people, the owner of the company is amazing. The projects are amazing. And I don't see myself working anywhere else after here.

Cons

The only con is pay. It's huge for a beginner tester, but pay has to increase to the more skilled employees.

Pros

Free ramen noodles Highway access (hear it all day)

Cons

The work hours in the morning were chaotic. Managers came in very late in the morning. I would often wait for two hours for a certain male PM to arrive, only for us to find out we had no work anyway that day. I was let go only a few weeks before my benefits would have started. Rude and very curt coworkers. Many had extreme attitudes and made strange remarks. Lots of sexism here. Tiny, random offices that you are moved around daily into with random coworkers. You could never come in and feel completely comfortable. As others have said, definitely lots of favoritism. For the two months I was there, they fired around three people and brought on five. One of the female PMs opened up to me that they haven’t been doing well, and the vendors are drying up to do work for. Hearing that on my first month set the pace for the rest of my time there. The mood is downright depressing some days. Coworkers have been here for years and no one is motivated. Pay is only 12 per hour. Sometimes the female PM tries to cheer people up but you can tell few are happy to be working here. To top it off, people leave early and take crazy breaks. That’s expected, because the managers do as well. There’s a bad trickle of behaviors and it comes from every PM. The testers know this and have no pride to get energy from in their work. The company felt like a sinking ship when I was there, and honestly I think it was a good time to leave.
