Pros

The majority of people at graze are really great - authentic, friendly, experts in their areas and truly a joy to work with.

Cons

Unfortunately, despite there being great people, the business has taken a turn into an extremely toxic environment which is very evident in some teams more than others. Disrespectful behaviour, with a lack of trust has created an environment of micromanagement from above, that makes employees feel belittled, disempowered and scared to speak up. There are some incredibly expert and experienced individuals in the business whose opinions are consistently undermined. While an environment 'to challenge each other' is encouraged, any challenges are shut down. Certain senior leaders do not understand how to receive or give feedback which makes resolving the toxicity extremely difficult. Even the values of the companies are rooted in negativity and blame culture. It's very sad and disappointing to see such a great brand and mission be full of criticism and negativity behind closed doors. While HR does an amazing job at people management and creating a better culture, unfortunately the reality is that other senior stakeholders put people as the lowest priority which overrides any great intention the people team has had.

Pros

Graze has truly done an amazing job with hiring. Most people are incredibly intelligent and capable, and the social environment led me to make some of my closest friends while working there. There is also strong potential to succeed in the retail market in both the UK and the US.

Cons

Investment in the US office culture has declined rapidly. Management is not at all transparent with its employees, especially in the US, so people are constantly in fear of large business changes or personnel shifts. Poor communication between the geographies and hierarchy red tape mean that many ideas and opinions go unheard, a large problem in the US office. At times it can feel like a waste of all of the great talent they've hired
