Lots of little pros. Too many big cons - Behavior Technician emerald learning wa Employee Review

Pros

For the field, very stable pay and high ethical standards. Would be a great place to start a unionization movement in the field. (you have nothing to lose but your chains!)

Cons

Positively schizophrenic leadership. There is currently a dual executive structure at the middle management level. One side is inattentive, reactionary, sloppy and rude. The other side is toothless, two faced and clearly the junior partner. Both are overextended well past the point of their job performance being effected by an insistence from senior management that they expand as quickly as possible.

Pros

Wonderful students Good pay and benefits High ethical standards and committed staff Professional development is very emphasized Real camaraderie among coworkers Extremely queer-friendly School breaks!

Cons

Runs on the school calendar, but BTs are paid hourly. Although there are some opportunities for hours during breaks, you will not get the same pay during breaks. Coworker drama but nothing crazy. Management is often overstretched, although they try their best. Not many chances for advancement.

Pros

Pretty good health care, dental, and vision insurance. Students and Coworkers are overall amazing. Paid training for Safety Care and 40 hours for your CBT. Opportunities for extra hours doing transportation or helping supervisors with tasks that need to be finished. Everyday is different! Admin try to work with you if you’re struggling with a problem that’s affecting your work.

Cons

Admin communication with each other and staff in general is lacking Management on the east coast wants continued growth even though we are out growing our current building and don’t have a replacement insight. We had an attendance incentive for paid breaks but management on the east coast it wasn’t working when they did an audit in December when it was cold, covid, and flu season.
