Pros
On site staff and management are some of the nicest and most hardworking people.
Cons
Absolutely not worth it for the low pay. Considering it’s 7p above minimum (not living) wage, the work itself is pretty demanding. Mostly because the endless cost cutting leaves you with an always understaffed team and limited resources. The constant barrage of criticism from higher management is unnecessarily harsh and degrades the working relationship between the team and our managers because everything is filtered down through them as a draconian chain of command. Everyone toiling underneath the core boys club who see this company as a calf to be fattened for sale are always stressed and lack flexibility with hours or work life balance. Everything is within the bare minimum requirement of legality and workers entitlements, this place wants you stressed and desperate while the higher ups treat it as a free network of hotels to gander around in. The culture and energy is neurotic, colourless and corporate, you could go on and on but why bother it’s just not worth it.
