Pros

Being part of a fast-growing company that is changing the marketing game for small-business owners. Free food in break room

Cons

Where to start...senior management doesn't trust anyone (starts with the CEO micromanaging EVERYTHING and being closed-minded to feedback). There's a consistent presumption of guilt if something doesn't go according to plan...with hardly any effort put into understanding all sides of the situation. The complete lack of focus on investing in and developing the employees is alarming. Not even simple mentorship and asking employees about their personal and professional goals happens. Seems like leadership-101 tasks. The priority is clearly on growing the business as fast as possible, regardless of the negative impact to the people and morale. The HR staff is not equipped to do the job. I've heard at least 2 first-hand accounts of employees going to HR, in confidence, to voice concerns...only to have HR go straight to the employees' supervisor to share the details. Then the supervisors each confronted the employees. This is so far beyond inappropriate. Now no one can trust in HR to handle delicate issues.

Thank you for the feedback. This is the first time we’ve heard this type of feedback and so will have to try to better understand it and make the appropriate course corrections, if needed. We are working hard to build a great company here at eRelevance and we’re well on our way. We combine the pace of an ambitious, high growth, agile startup with operational excellence and extraordinary results - and the truth is that pace and culture isn’t for everybody. We are doing this through a culture grounded in being attentive, courageous, trusted, transparent, collaborative, agile, and accountable. Yes, increasing shareholder value is our #1 priority and because of great employees, we’ve been able to achieve tremendous growth to date. With a fast growth start-up all employees benefit because as the company rapidly grows, employees will grow and develop as individuals and professionals, and lots of advancement will be available to them. And as we continue to mature, we will put more structured career development programs in place and your feedback and input will help us continue to improve in these areas. I would encourage you to come talk to anyone on the executive leadership team – they are always open to input, feedback, constructive criticism, and ideas. Bob Fabbio - CEO

Pros

I've been very fortunate in my career to work with outstanding companies, large and small. However, this by far has been the best career move and experience thus far. This is a company that not only strives to be the best, but has created a company culture that is second to none. It starts at the top with the CEO, who is one of the most respected and genuine people I've has the pleasure to not only work for but also get to know personally. Bob, is not only a boss he is a very valuable mentor as well. The entire leadership team is extremely professional and very well educated on what it takes to create an atmosphere where employees can create "generational wealth" for themselves and have fun doing it at the same time. This is extremely rare in today's world. I have yet to meet an employee that is not excited, passionate, and truly dedicated to their work. What stands out most is the unselfishness of all the employees that I have had the pleasure to meet and work with. There is an old saying that teamwork makes the dreamwork, and that is most certainly the case here.

Cons

I do have a con..and that would be that working remotely, I tend to miss the electricity that is vibrating in the building whenever I step back into headquarters. If that is a con then I should only be so lucky as I look forward to every trip I make to Austin!
