Pros

If you thrive in a fast pace environment, this is a company for you, keep busy all the time. Projects are always creative, but they do follow the same process. Other employees are fun to get a long with.

Cons

Management has a bad temper, he expects too much from employees. There is always a scream fest, the yelling and somewhat abusive language is almost every day.

Pros

Cool office, nice location and average LA pay rate. Some of the project can be interesting for your portoflio if this is your first full time job.

Cons

You started off with little to no training for the daily work. If you get 1 or 2 things wrong on the output, the boss will have zero mercy for any mistake and prompty yell at you in front of everyone during the evening review meeting. The boss is clearly in need of therapy and help with his anger and low EQ. The senior management consist of a few old pal of his, they would do nothing to help with the situation - the head will roll and there will be replacement to yell at and fire. As a designer you are required to quote and manage the vendor on your own, the A/D firm pays a premium for the design service but the company does not value design talent nor have a strong internal design team - very odd considering they do not do any manufacturing in-house. Most people will not last more than 3 months of constant abuse from all directions (long hour, abusive boss and weak manager). There's no career path in this company - Take this job if it's our last option but don't expect to last. Just ask all the current and former employee on Linkedin and they will tell you the same thing.
