No transparency! You have no idea what's really expected from you in order to get a promotion or to make a lateral shift. Your manager will try to make you feel nice by saying they are "there to help" but they aren't. It feels more like they want to withhold you from opportunities to grow rather than help you.
As an SDR, expect confusion about what your true expected quota is. Expect to see unfair treatment when it comes to distribution of resources to help you do your job. I also wonder if the want to "manage out" certain types of people if you catch my drift. But even if you are the "right type" of person, you're not safe. Every single SDR on my team is pulling their hair out. Decisions are made without you in mind and when you seek understanding, they give vague non-answers. If you're lucky, you'll have a manager try to make you look stupid in front of everyone for asking the question we ALL want answers to.
It's as if they want you to work, work, work and don't ask questions. But we're adults. We have lives. And our careers are important to us. So that means we expect a certain level of transparency so we can help the company AND our careers. And have peace of mind while working.
On top of that, there was an issue with our commissions so we didn't get paid our commissions appropriately. I'm sure this will get fixed shortly, but I'm including it in case it happens to you so you know.
Also there is a culture of working overtime. They will tell you that you don't need to, that they pay overtime in case you do work it, but no -- understand that in order to achieve certain goals you HAVE TO WORK overtime.
