Pros

The people you work with are super chill. You will all bond with each other as you complain and dream of a new job. Next thing you know all your friends are gone! They are starting to talk about using more field reps which is good because you'll find out it is almost impossible to steal business from a competitor when all you do is call in. They do a great job at sugar coating the position and what they do even though it is just straight cold calling.

Cons

They stopped allowing the vendors to come in because it is too "distracting" despite the fact those 5 minute vendor breaks were the only way to break up all day cold calling and stay sane. You burn through your book of leads so quickly and end up calling the same people almost weekly even though they do not need anything or nothing has changed. You do not start to do well until enough people quit and their one or two buying accounts that they had are transitioned over to you and your few accounts. Stay there long enough if you're crazy and enough accounts will be transitioned over to you and you will MAYBE be ok.

Pros

Work from home is a perk for most. Some ability to travel and attend events with clients and prospects.

Cons

Where do I begin? If you really need a job, I get it but would not recommend it! So many issues- toxic culture, very siloed even within sales organization, leadership not to be trusted. Penny pinching on sales commissions and unrealistic sales goals.
