- First 2 paychecks withheld due to company policy.
- Literally 0 room for growth; you are hired to fill a contract slot, nothing more. There is no company ladder; there are consultants and there are senior consultants. Consultants will never be senior consultants due to the enormous skill divide in the job with no means to learn skills directly.
- The instant a contract dies due to any number of reasons (govt pulls funds, customer has delays, etc.), you are laid off within 7 days, no heads up. All health/dental/vision benefits are canceled before you are notified you have been laid off. The only way you don't lose your job instantly is if another contract is available you can fill immediately is open, the chances of that happening are maybe 10%.
- Pay is at or below industry average. No pay raises unless you excel far beyond the position you were hired in to do. No incremental raises even if employed with the company for multiple years.
- Most employees at Zigabyte are family of the CEO, friends with the CEO, or have been with the company since the beginning. If you're coming in fresh, expect to be the first out anytime the company has a misstep. I watched dozens of faces come in and out of the 25~ employee company (at the time). After you see so many people come and go, you start to wonder when you're next.
- Everyone works 40+ hours a week and is busy. If you're expecting anyone to coach you, or be able to job shadow to learn the ropes, don't. The company has no use for anyone who can't perform all duties on their own the instant they are hired on. You will be working totally alone most of the time, if not always for many positions. Expect to master new software overnight or lose your job in many cases.
- Zigabyte is essentially a middle-man temp agency for IT Services. If you're happy with the terms of your 1-2 year dated contract, great, but you better be prepping another job the moment you get hired in.
