Pros
Being part of an organization that is working to create a better future is certainly a plus. As this is novel application of technologies, there are ample opportunities to work on complex and exciting projects. The team in Everett is very willing to work together to tackle these challenges, and the global team is continuing to mesh as one group to build upon the teams successes. If you are someone who desires to apply your skills to creating solutions to problems, wants to add structure to ambiguity, and wants to be a part of a team working to a common goal, this is a team for you.
Cons
With lots of change comes a non-trivial workload. ZeroAvia is still more of a startup than not, and that lends itself to being a busy environment with shifting priorities. This can be a challenge at times, however, this is more of a con only when I do not lean into the team around me. Understanding how to communicate, balance, prioritize, collaborate, and ask for help are essential skills at ZeroAvia. Without those skills, and wanting to be a part of a team, it is a hard environment to find success.
