      Pros

      - Pay and benefits are competitive with gulf universities

      Cons

      - Unprofessional - Do not resign from your job to join Zayed University unless you are provided with the actual work permit/visa. Several faculty members ended up without a job as they had signed contracts with Zayed University in recent years only to find out a couple of weeks before the start date that they will not be able to get a Visa and thus the contract is void.

      Pros

      ZU is an exceptional institution of higher education. I’m proud to say that I have contributed to its reputation as one of the best universities in the Middle East by establishing new programs, hiring exceptional faculty and stuff, and terminating some bad apples who don’t belong there (or anywhere else, for that matter)
