Pros
Great job security and benefits, very family friendly. If you graduated from Texas A&M, the company will love you. If you stick around for a while and are not mentally retarded, you will be promoted. It is nearly impossible to get fired. Job is easy yet fun.
Cons
The company lacks management structure and functions similarly to a union - the talent often goes unrecognized and you have to brown nose your way up. A lot of people lack the education and skills to fill the position they are in. The company stumps on innovation and creativity and has a very visible beurocratic element in all of its functions. It is very common to see certain incompetent employees' salaries to be a double or triple to that of others performing the same function mostly because of family/social ties with management. If you are out on a project, expect to work up to 80 hours weeks for 40 hours worth of pay.
