Pros

ZS as a company has very good values, benefits, and perks. The people there really make ZS - it is like a work family. Expect to be friends with your coworkers.

Cons

CIG (client integrated group) is a terrible role/area within ZS. I would not recommend this role to anyone. The job is the same as what other consultants in SIP, DA, and BO do but the pay is WAY lower, you do not get all of the same fun perks, and you cannot transfer roles for ~6 years after starting as an analyst. You are expected to be at the client 4-5 days per week, but unlike other roles you cannot expense travel or food. So not only do you make less, but you also have to pay more to get to work. Leadership doesn't even care about this role and will lead you on saying you can transfer probably as an "exception" but then will reject the transfer. Would not recommend. This role essentially came about for people transferring from the India offices, so they would pay less due to sponsorship as the perk. However, with more regulations they started hiring people locally in the USA and it is illegal to pay differently so that is the reasoning for salary difference is what I was told. Reviews are also very opaque - even if all year they say you are doing great they will not review you well because promotions have become to be more on tenure as opposed to performance.

Pros

Strong culture and collaborative environment with smart, supportive colleagues. Admins are trusted partners and get exposure to senior leadership, which provides great learning opportunities. Compensation and benefits are competitive compared to similar roles.

Cons

Workload can be high, with admins often supporting multiple stakeholders while also providing backup coverage. Expectations can vary widely depending on the team, which can create inconsistency and pressure. Career growth paths are less structured and require a lot of self-direction. Work-life balance can be challenging at times, especially across time zones.
