Pros
decent health benefits and 401K, new paint and graphics on walls, new carpet mostly, shiny new vending machines that take cards now, new cubicles, unlimited coffee and water. Depending on the dept, you may have nice people working together as a team. Car wash if you can afford it, most people cannot with Yusen pay.
Cons
0 bonuses, noncompetitive pay scale, favoritism, toxic environment due to fear of layoffs, lack of unity, poor sanitary hygiene it seems from all the "please wash hands" signs posted everywhere. Ineffective managers who spend more time in the meeting room than at their clean cubicles (they call it paperless), Inexperienced managers brought in by branch leadership suddenly promoted upon arrival to Yusen with no managerial experience. Good workers overworked due to inexperienced managers and they end up leaving. Powerpoint and self-recognition skills in addition to playing favorites seen as more important in selecting managers than actually knowing operations and being respected by their subordinates. Over 10 new hire employees are from same previous company as the branch leadership, no internal promotion from within.
