Pros
walk out with what you made in tip money at the end of your shifts
Weekly pay
Basic training, and safety class as well they'll cover TA license, both of the drug test, physical DOT and fingerprint scans
Was able to choose my schedule and was easy to switch it around when needed
Their pretty flexible when you miss work or need to call out/go home early but just dont do it to offen of course
Don't have to spend out of pocket for gas or repairs for any of the cabs you drive
Cons
Never really know what your work week is going to be like or how your fares are going to turn out, yes they have a builtin out that'll help give directions for events or anything that's really happening but it hard to read and not very clear about anything
Way to big of a commission taken you'll start out with only getting 39% of what you make in fares and depending on what company you are put in or what schedule you'll need your commission won't grow fast unless you spend years Upon years working their
Getting started sucks it took me almost 3 weeks to just get to the training class
After the first drug test after the interview you'll wait a couple days then you'll call the company to get the results if passed you'll schedule when your available to go to a safety class to get your packet of things you'll need to do or get as well go over safety stuff and do a test at the end after then you'll have to
have to schedule your DOT physical next you have to run over get you TA license but before you can finish that you then have to go get a fingerprint scan then go back to the Taxi attorney you'll do a English test you'll need to pass with a 80% accuracy then you'll get your license now before you proceed based on what company your in or if you have done taxi driving before you'll need to go to a union meeting after all that you'll go the the company with you DOT physical papers, temporary TA card and a signed union form if you need to go and the schedule you for the actual training which is only on Tuesday and Wednesday it only takes so long for all because of the days the places you need to go all have different times of operation or how long it take to schedule anything at least that was for me and a couple other people in my training class at least
When you first start you will most likely keep getting random cars from super old and are nasty and ripped sets that you'll just feel bad for the customers and get low Tips because of it or to a super nice new one that you'll want to keep,
as well cab driver are only expected to keep it clean for the customer during their shift so most of the time when they are done for the day they'll leave it a mess and the next person to drive it has to clean it up
