Pros
- Decent pay, healthcare, 401k - You don't need to do very much or very good work to stay on here. You can coast doing the bare minimum for a long time before anyone says anything - Most people care about the mission of renewable energy, which is pretty cool
Cons
- The organization is quickly losing high performers and replacing them with less knowledgeable, less ambitious people or not backfilling at all. - What should be a nimble business unit is getting kneecapped by being part of such a huge corporation that is the source of tons of bureaucracy and very little material support - If you need to work with anyone outside your immediate team, they will probably be rude and unhelpful. Most people are generally frustrated with the state of things but unable to create meaningful change - The ES&O management team is one of the worst I've ever seen. I personally saw terrible handling of personnel issues and a total lack of ability to create strategic direction
