Pros

Everyone below the executive is awesome. Great to work with, diligent, interesting, fun, smart, and works and plays hard.

Cons

Executive is a mess, and their management style directly impacts the team in a negative way every day. The team is overwhelmed with issues due to rash decision making that emphasizes the short term win over long term quality.

I want to thank you for sharing your feedback. As a high growth company, we are often required to go over and above for our customers. We understand however that on occasion this can be challenging and has meant that everyone in the organization including myself is required to roll up their sleeves to pitch in. As for our leadership team, the alleged behaviour and experience you describe would not be aligned with our culture or our core values. However, we are always listening, and we will evaluate and continuously look for ways to improve the workplace for everyone. Your absolutely right about how great, fun, smart and hard working the development team at WorkJam is. We are fortunate to have such an awesome team, and we try hard to make sure they know how appreciated they are. We are working very hard to create a company where people are valued and feel empowered to succeed. Focusing on meeting the needs of our staff as we grow is one of my highest priorities. If you would like to share more about your experience, please feel free to contact me at hr@workjam.com Best of luck in your future endeavours. Steven Kramer CEO

Pros

The employees (outside of leadership) are some of the most supportive, collaborative, and resilient people I’ve ever worked with. Unfortunately, much of that comes from being “trauma bonded” through the instability here.

Cons

Leadership is deeply inconsistent — the CEO regularly disparages competitors but then recruits from those same companies. Constant layoffs and financial instability; cash flow is a major issue. Terminations during medical treatment (including chemotherapy), with leadership excusing it as “in the works for a while.” Inappropriate behavior at company events, including executives openly using substances where illegal. European leaders frequently act unprofessionally but face no consequences due to personal ties with the CEO. Sales layoffs are handled haphazardly; those who remain are often disengaged. Product misrepresentation: company inflates pipeline numbers, misleads investors, and exaggerates customer list (e.g., Starbucks is not actually a client). Roadmaps and product development are regularly misrepresented to prospects. Leadership turnover is stalled — senior executives remain in roles long after it’s clear change is needed. HR repeatedly fails to address inappropriate conduct, including personal oversharing by managers and harassment from colleagues. Employees are promised promotions or new roles that never materialize; instead, staff are burned out and let go.
