Pros

Good benefits & some forward thinking mentality

Cons

Destructive! I truly was traumatised from my experience at wiser. It completely destroyed my confidence and most importantly my mental health. There is a real lack of maturity in processes, management and neuro diversity. Unless you’re like a ‘Wiser’ original or in the clique you’re shunned, intimidated and disrespected. Steam rolled, ignored or just outright made to feel stupid when offering input (even colleagues and myself who have a lot of experience or value to be able to add) I have a huge amount of experience, work extremely hard and am proud for my expertise and management ability which is recognised anywhere I have worked and quickly picked straight back up once in a new role. Outside of its internal culture, clients should be wary, behind the scenes your work is managed poorly, rushed and I truly think risk a car crash situation at some point. People in very senior jobs with senior titles managing large brands with very little experience. Check LinkedIn pages for people managing your work. Gaslighting is upsetting, it was toxic and it was the worst decision I’ve ever made in my career. They hide a lot of the negative with cringe outwardly facing ‘benefits’ and the true picture is people working with zero structure, knowledge or work life balance.

Pros

Their vision of changing the way people think about work has really landed for me. Before joining Wiser, I honestly saw work as something you just had to push through - a grind, something separate from real life. Now I see it as a place where you can grow, feel supported, and actually enjoy the day-to-day. It took me out of the survival mode I think a lot of people fall into living in a busy city like London. That shift has been huge for me. I worked in the ops team managing the podcast studio, and the atmosphere was consistently uplifting. The people are bright, funny, supportive, and bring a naturally good energy into the office. It’s one of the first places I’ve worked where the culture isn’t just a buzzword and it genuinely shows up in how people treat each other. The office had a flexible dog policy system, which made a massive difference for me. I could bring my pup into the office when I needed to, and everyone genuinely loved having dogs around. It added to the warm, human feel of the place and made coming in even more enjoyable. On a personal level, I felt really supported. When I started thinking about taking a different direction in my life, the founder was there for me - encouraging me, helping me think things through, and supporting me while I figured out my next step. That kind of openness and care is rare, and it meant a lot.

Cons

I’m pretty surprised to read some of the negative reviews. Work will never be perfect anywhere, but I genuinely haven’t had one experience that felt off or jarring - which is a big contrast to previous roles I’ve had.

Pros

An okay place to start your career if you’ve never worked anywhere else and have nothing to compare it to.

Cons

No HR, massively underpayed, constant surveillance from senior management, toxic environment created by individuals with overinflated job titles who have worked at Wiser since its inception.
