Strange approach to hiring - I was brought in, hired a team around me, and then someone else was brought in above me and released me (after my probation had passed, I might add). This seems like a waste of money, a waste of time and counter productive, as well as being hugely disruptive for the team I had hired (and also, in a very grey area legally too).
Lack of consultation - aside from the HR manager and my direct manager (who are both grossly overworked and under-appreciated), I had no conversations with any member of the SMT around targets, expectations, how I was doing, performance etc. in the time I was there.
Lack of respect - I was told to 'be quiet and learn from those with more experience' whilst there. Very unprofessional behaviour towards someone that has their own experience, brings their own ideas to the table and who wasn't hired to just be told what to do.
High turnover of staff - their approach to interns, execs and mid level management is baffling, especially the interns. No attempt is made to provide a framework for interns to move into full-time.
Disconnect between Kiev and London offices
Impulsive approach to making big decisions
I also spoke to the CEO once while I was there, and that was just from walking passed him in the hallway.
