Pros

If you're good with your manager you can get onsite, without not even Performing, I know people who got Outstanding rating for last 3 years and not even went to onsite for a single time and others who are ME(Meet Expectation),who we are in Bangalore only for 3 months in their whole career of 3 years, rest were in Onsite, know to deal with managers, be friendly with manager, show something manager likes, in the project make an impression that you're critical then you are ON.

Cons

It is not a company where employees can grow.No Hike, no good work environments, In development projects you may need to work on even sundays. Somehow the work has to be completed within the cut-off period. Wipro get some projects they are Fixed price and low Priced and they don't know actual effort required to complete it.They just somehow need to finish it within the time line.Where poor employee chap get nothing. Wipro is a managers world. Employee are like Raw materials or resources.Managers enjoy max, because they know they just have to manage people, prepare some excel sheet, give some advice to emloyee if performance is low, All suffering by employees, Maximum benefit to managers. In the last recession they were throwing employees as if they were blind, kicking each one without a genuine reason.May be 7-8 thousands were removed. They lost all good resources, my friends(4 -5), and 2 tech leads, whom I know were exceptional good at their fields they Left wipro at the time of recession due to no hike, all worst POLICIES,only managers get benefits. UCF - A new initiative by wipro encourages people to study more... sometime it is more like dictating people to study areas even if you are not interested. The give a vast set of topics as Unified competency Framework(UCF) as per employees level of experiences and technology. Employees who have to work for all the projects, prepare for these exams and ultimately the employees get nothing as benefit in terms of money, You will see all old PC's, scrapped chairs, old key boards, mouse who cares no one is least bothered. Then if any one wants a change, they need to raise a request for each, then they will get another renewed version of the old stuff. Wipro is a company where Techies have not much value.Only advantage is they can get some onsite, that too if you're really good with managers.Suppose you're technical strong 80%,and you are not friendly with manager, the chance of getting an onsite is 0%.

Pros

Good place for freshers and early‑career professionals to learn technologies, processes, and client interaction, with “huge opportunities for learning new things.”

Cons

Onboarding for freshers can be slow and confusing, with delays before real project allocation

Pros

There are no pros to working for Wipro.

Cons

This company is a sh** show. There are too many managers and less and less people to do the actual work. They have people that negotiate contracts and then expect the company to make money. In reality, most of the time the contract is basically giving the house away. It is the employees that suffer. When the contracts go south, they cut more people. Those people are then screwed over. Be warned!! If your position ends on the 25th of the month, your health insurance also ends on the 25th of the month. Note that the premium you paid, is not pro-rated, justifying the end of coverage on the 25th. You still pay the usual premium, which should then have your coverage run through the end of the month. If they can destroy a person, they will. They want more and more and more from their employees. While they preach all this mental health, work life balance, it's a sham. They have no regard for the well being of the employee, which carries over to the employee's family.
