Pros

Flaxible work schedule and the ability to work remotely

Cons

The CBT leaders have no interest in listening to the billing analyst and their needs. They refuse to provide written procedures, policies, cheat sheets, etc which would make it easier on the billing analyst and have been asked for by the analyst. They don't care about the number of hours it takes to complete the work (some upwards of 60+ hours a week but instead say at least you are getting paid OT for those hours). They will tell you a meeting (office hours which is meant to be a Q & A meeting) is optional but then provide necessary information during that meeting. They will change procedures on one day, then a couple of days later change it and they a couple of days later reprimand the team for not following the new procedure. They do not have the billing analyst back. They give you financial goals, which is based on how much per month to bill but the amount to bill is dictated by the relationship executives, but don't tell you how they got to them and if they will be part of your performance review. They talk about the billing analyst behind their back and make fun of us. The Centralized Billing Department is extremely toxic and while leadership knows this they refuse to do anything about it.

Pros

I think that even for a job where you expect to work the crazy long hours during busy season, Wipfli does a great job at showing they care about the well-being of their employees during this time. I have constantly had different individuals throughout Wipfli reach out to me during busy season to see how I was doing mentally. Knowing that individuals care is a big part in being able to get through a stressful time of the work year. The catered lunches we receive during this time is also another example of showing that the Company cares about the well-being of their employees. It gives each office a great time to enjoy some quality lunches and bring social interaction to each of the offices. I also think Wipfli is a great Company to work for outside of busy season, when the hours slow down and work is less stressful. It's encouraged to take time off, reset, and enjoy the summer weather. Wipfli understands that everyone needs to hit the reset button after a long, stressful period of time. I interned the summer before I started full-time as an associate, and sometimes Employers during internships like to play-up the Company and not always show it's true colors. I can honestly say that during my time as an intern and when I started full-time this year, the way I have been treated, the culture, the workplace environment, and the overall caring of Wipfli has been consistently great the entire time.

Cons

Like any job in public accounting, the hours are long and they can be stressful.
