Pros

-Growing company which allows for a lot of opportunity to move around, and find the best position for you - Managers really care for their teams, and want to support them and receive their feedback - Company leaders are regularly re-evaluating and updating processes, always looking for ways to improve - Willing to give time to the community in various ways, such as fundraising activities, or school visits -Outings and internal events explore a broad range of interests, and are well planned and fun

Cons

- Expectations by management are not always realistic - Hazy job roles, although this is drastically improving - Communication about internal projects is not great. Instructions not always laid out well for non-technical employees. -Internal technical issues not always handled well. No internal help desk, so employee issues are usually put on the back-burner

Pros

If you have an idea to improve things, it often can get put into place fast. Senior management is involved, approachable, warm and trustworthy. The focus is on the work and the clients, vs. politics. Most peers are very supportive and camaraderie is high. Showers, toaster oven, ample fridge space, and real dishes in the kitchen. Health plan is great for company size, retirement plan with matching, tuition reimbursement. Great natural light. Walking distance to ocean and restaurants at Maine location. Trees and grass outside at Mass location.

Cons

Some staff is dispassionate about outcomes and ownership, (varies by team and location). Ergonomics needs more support (desk height adjustments). The balance of process vs. accountability and support is not something managers seem to be aware of or speak to openly, reducing engagement and sense of ownership in staff. Reviews are not SMART. Some reporting line triangles with multiple managers giving different instructions. Requirements not gathered during facilities changes, caused unnecessary sense of insecurity and upheaval among staff.
