Pros
Since employee retention is relatively high (most people in my department having been there for years) the culture is very nice. Everyone is friendly and very positive. The pay raise is better than I’m used to, the benefits are incredible at $30 a month for medical/dental/vision for Blue Cross, and the customers are generally lovely. The 401k and ESOP are /excellent/ opportunities. Management is generally helpful, encouraging, and appreciative for your work.
Cons
The schedule. It’s completely random, and they don’t respect availability very well. I am frequently scheduled outside of my available times and days. Hours are also fewer than expected. I am considered full time with health insurance and regularly make under 32 hours. Very frustrating. Hours are purportedly based on efficiency (dollars you can scan/cost of employing you) but higher efficiency does not always mean more house for you.
