I've had terrible experiences every time I've needed to work with HR. (Except for Oxford-based HR. They're lovely.) I interviewed in 2015 and it was a nightmare, from the job description not being posted correctly, the HR contact giving me the wrong interview time, and they never even emailed to say they were moving on to other applicants. They did that same thing to a friend of mine in 2018 as well. I gave them another chance in 2017 and the interview process was luckily smoother and I accepted. HR also messed up my insurance and it took 2 months to resolve. The in-office HR didn't give me any relevant paperwork once I started and I relied entirely on colleagues knowing what I would need or should know about.
