Pros
The work itself has the potential to be deeply impactful. Wide Eye Creative takes on progressive projects for causes and organizations that matter. There are smart, passionate people throughout the team who genuinely care about the mission.
Cons
Unfortunately, the company is led by two white male executives whose leadership actively undermines the values they claim to uphold. Despite a portfolio filled with equity-driven work, the internal culture tells a different story.
In the past three years, over a dozen women have left due to the toxic work environment, often citing burnout, dismissal of their ideas, or more overt acts of exclusion. People of color are regularly tokenized during the client acquisition process — shown off to win contracts, then pushed aside when real work begins. Input from women and BIPOC employees is frequently shut down or ignored by executive leadership, creating a workplace where only certain voices are truly heard.
The sexism and racism present at the leadership level are not isolated incidents — they are systemic, persistent, and deeply ingrained in how decisions are made and whose contributions are valued. Wide Eye Creative is not a safe or supportive environment for women or minorities, regardless of how inclusive their branding may appear.
