No clear direction, the company is stuck running around in circles at the moment.
Uncompetitive pay and a lack of knowledge about/appreciation of many departments in the company from the leadership team.
Lack of communication from leadership and next to no transparency, particularly around pay and reward.
Leadership stubbornly unwilling to listen to the opinions of others, whether or not they are more knowledgeable about certain subjects.
Many of the issues listed above mean that staff turnover is at an all time high and the company seem unwilling to make meaningful changes to address this. Communication is very one sided and leadership will often not take on board the opinions of others, making unilateral decisions without consulting key stakeholders in the business.
It's no coincidence that the company is unable to hold on to it's best people when they would rather spend ludicrous amounts of money bringing in contractors to try and paper over the cracks in the short term than making their best people feel valued enough to stay with the company. It's very short sighted and many within the company can see this and are choosing to leave as a result, which then leads to the situation the company finds itself in now where they have loads of vacant positions or positions that have been filled by people who are ill suited to their roles.
