Pros

- I get to work with a small team of incredibly talented people. - Great professional development. Everyone, all the way up to Amir (our CEO), is very accessible, and since it's a startup you'll be expected to take on a wide variety of responsibilities. I'm much less restricted here than I would be as a big-company software engineer. They've also followed through on their promise to give me opportunities to learn new skills (devops, backend web dev) - Ambitious company objectives. Our goal is to produce clinical devices that are truly consumer-grade--products with the dependability of a pacemaker, but the intuitive UX of an iPhone. That's not something I've ever seen as a patient. - Culture's great! Despite the fact that I've never met my coworkers in person (I was hired at the start of the pandemic), I feel very included in the team dynamic. Everyone's got their own interesting story, as well--during one of our team lunches, we found out nearly everyone is multilingual, and everybody plays an instrument. - For a startup, the work-life balance is also pretty good--our CEO and VP of Engineering both have kids.

Cons

- Interview/hiring process is pretty arduous. As a candidate, it was tiring--but as an employee, I've been very grateful for our hiring standards, because it means we've been able to keep an extremely tight, effective team.

Pros

-The team: it's a privilege to be able to work with a group of extremely talented, dedicated, fun and interesting people. Working with my colleagues is a truly fun and rewarding experience. -The culture: Since day one I have been consistently impressed with Tatch's focus on company culture, which easily outperforms efforts that I've experienced at much larger companies in both its sincerity and effect. Despite the ongoing pandemic and remote working situation, they have done a fantastic job of cultivating a workplace that is open, friendly, encouraging and supportive both professionally and personally. -Opportunity: Being such a small company, there is ample room for growth. Management actively encourages employees to seize any opportunity in which they have expressed interest while at the same time making sure to provide plenty of opportunity in line with individual interests and/or career development goals. -Leadership: Company leadership has a clear goal in mind, and fully understands that their people are their most precious asset in reaching that goal. Their drive, passion and enthusiasm are infectious, and the maturity with which they run the company is admirable. This gives me good confidence in the future of the company.

Cons

Nothing that isn't par for the course in an early stage company and isn't easily offset by the pros. For example, the range of benefits is good, though they tend to be a bit pricier than equivalent offerings at larger companies.
