Pros

Good benefits, ample PTO after 10 years, steady work

Cons

Micromanagement, favoritism, lack of professionalism in management, back biting, unreasonable goals, procedures change daily, managers unable to perform tasks that are expected to be handled by employees so you are on your own if a problem comes up, metrics are king, bonuses are based on unrealistic expectations, training rarely applies to actual job duties, loan processing program is cumbersome, software is struggling to be relevant, raises are minuscule. And all of this criticism comes from a 20 year employee who finished their last year of work as the #1 Processor on their team and earned a six figure income that year in spite of everything. If my numbers weren’t so good, I would have been furloughed, but I managed to do things my way and succeed. During my last 3 years at Wells Fargo, I had 8 managers. My job was not for the faint of heart.

Pros

Benefits (but cost creeping up and coverage creeping down each year), Good Morale Both Management and Coworkers, and Honestly a Great Company.

Cons

Cross Selling is the only focus now, firing employees who are great at their job in every area that should matter but if the cross selling results are not meeting the ever ridiculous quota (which continues to rise) than you may not have a job next month. Expectation for customers to say yes to cross selling, leaving you with no real control of your job security. Stress!
