Pros
- The Mission (supporting people with cancer) - Health insurance and PTO is great - Opportunities to learn more about the cancer world - The patients - "Group supervision" is a great space offered to direct-service staff to deal with the ups and downs of the cancer world
Cons
- Leadership lacks self-awareness, empathy and understanding of those with direct-service to patients - Team issues were not handled professionally or appropriately (allowing staff that has been on for extensive time to mistreat newer/younger staff) - Pay - Extensive travel expectations to off-site locations (in unsafe areas) - Unreasonable expectations for class load, outreach, and travel - Expectations for team coverage were unrealistic (considering the amount of PTO given) - KPIs were prioritized over the mental well-being of the staff supporting patients - High turnover due to the care of staff
